I was aware that my little poem sounded a bit different than the person many of you have come to know, and that's why I posted it under "!hsalpS" instead. I had just finished doing some research on the Internet about some of the people behind the BoyChat website over the years, and I was also thinking about one of your recent posts, Huck. Since coming here, I've noticed that just hearing someone say the word "boy" makes me wake up and become more alert. Even when I hear the word "boy" on television, I have to stop what I'm doing to take a look. But why? Why has my mind and my thinking become so narrowed this way? Why have boys become so much more interesting and special to me than other people? I've been examining my feelings on this. And then when I read about the way certain people on BoyChat justify their actions and beliefs, it started to make me angry. I really don't want to get into it all right now -- I've been so busy lately that I'm low on energy and don't feel prepared for a big debate. Plus, I might not be around long enough to defend my view each day. I just think that we, as humans, too often overlook the ramifications of our actions by saying things like, "the end justifies the means," or "love DOES include sex," -- i don't know... things like that. For example, how many boylovers emphatically state that they are showing a boy unconditional love at the same time that they KNOW they are receiving some kind of pleasure for themselves out of the relationship? I think we too often deceive ourselves by prescribing to certain cliches. We need to see things a bit more objectively. That poem was just a start, and the link was a lead. The poem was not meant to address all boylovers... just those who tend to forget (or ignore) certain ramifications of certain actions.
