Hi Jiggles, Welcome to this forum. Great to have you here. I guess MY answer to your question would be in the definition of what a Christian really is. In Matthew 7:21 Jesus says, "Not everyone who says to me, `Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Now what God's will really is I believe is open to quite a bit more interpretation. But the point is that many people have grown up in "Christian" homes, in that if you asked them their religion they would say Christian, but are not really Christian in their hearts. I think that being a BL certainly hardens one's heart towards God, both out of anger in being who they are and in frustration at not being able to be what they think they should be. It takes one who is willing to dig into the bible and to exchange ideas with others, to find that anyone (regardless of their orientation) can come to faith in Christ. I would say that boychat is a great melting pot of all BLs, and I certainly find value to it. But not all BC'ers chose to come here, where I believe we all have the best shot at helping each other find a Godly perspective on a very challenging life. You are not alone. Love, Ben |
