As I see it, you are using two lines of reasoning here that I cannot accept as valid – first you are equating the act of masturbating with thoughts that may or may not accompany that act; they are two separate entities. Second you are equating any sort of sexual desire or fantasy with lust and they’re not the same at all. Expecting people to shut off their sexual desires until they marry (or enter into a committed relationship) is inhuman and a legalistic approach to the sin of lust.
