I totally agree with you QQQ. Although I wouldnt call myself a christian I do believe in a creator. I also think that this creator wouldnt have allowed christianity to become so prevelant if there wasnt some value to it. Im not sure if we are in total agreement or not. I think that any religion that gives a person comfort in life and when facing death is worth your time. I guess you feel that way too but you seem to have this need to get little jabs in on the faith whenever you can. When I think of a bunch of people together in a church worshipping it makes me happy. Sure, they arent the searcher that I am, to them they have found all of the answers and I would trade in this search to be with them in a second. Once you open your mind to other ideas that contradict your beliefs its hard to find your way back. Its hard to believe again. I must tell you that I was a lot more content before I read A Brief History of Time. I know I will never know God or the underlying reasoning for everything before I die but now Im stuck pondering about it. When I believed, albiet ignorantly believed, I at least thought I knew. That would be my advice to someone. Once you find a path that gives you joy stick to it. It sure is a lot easier than walking down every path only to end up nowhere. BLues |
