I'm sorry B's parents aren't as openminded as you first thought. God would not want them to turn their backs on you. But in a sense, the parents, along with your friends and pastor, are victims of their enviroment. Some may be covering their butts, as Fleetwood suggests. But they also may be trying to protect B. True, he doesn't need protection from you, but remember that they have been living in a world that fears pedophiles. Their only exposure to boylovers has been what they see and read from the media. Give them time to digest all this and their attitudes may change. One of my friends that I told about my attractions has a large family. He reacted fairly well, but did tell me that he felt that as a father he needed to make sure nothing ever happened with his son. I was hurt, but understood. I said I would simply not be alone with his son, not that I would ever do anything anyway, but to calm his fears, and also so there would be no basis even for any suspicion. He was happy with that. But over the years, and after he had another son who is going thru my age of attraction, things have changed. Although I haven't actively sought to be alone with his son, it has happened on numerous occasions with his and his wife's full knowledge and consent. It's as if he never spoke those words. There wasn't a time when he ever said, "ok, I trust you enough to be alone with my son now." It just kind of evolved. So give the parents time. Hopefully, they will still let you see B, but maybe with restrictions for a while till they can learn what a pedophile is and is not. They may have known you for a while, but they didn't know you were a boylover till very recently. They need time to digest it. Don't give up hope. Dakota |
