Christian BoyLove Forum #60187
I had always wondered why they put 'Matthew' first in the New Testament, and not John. I realised why as soon as I got to chapter thirteen. I felt like God had just RAPED me, so I threw it down and I haven't opened the dusty thing since. Well, I have, for the odd reference, but I haven't read it through yet. (I was NOT going through a very good time)
By the Golden rule I mean simply to love your neighbour as yourself. And not to harm people. To love God is effectively to love your neighbour as well... it is to be aware of the greater consciousness and live for its betterment. The thing is, people say that to love God is to OBEY each and every one of his commandments. But I can't shake this feeling that all the rules about 'fornication' and such are just for those people at that time. After all, they did not have very good contraception, and STDs must have been running riot. But these days... when marriage hardly means anything anymore... why is it not possible for me to sleep with as many people as I see fit but STILL love them as bretheren? The TRUE fornicators are the ones that act like PRICKS and actually LIE to other people just so they can get their end away! They are the sickening ones. But if I went to a bar or something and I met a guy who was attractive, and we both got on, and were like, "Well, do you want to do some messing around, just as long as we both know we're alright with it..." You know... where's the sin in that? I can't see it, because it doesn't harm the collective, nor does it harm either of us! Just so long as neither of us are addicted to sex, which I wouldn't let happen to me. I think you get the picture. If "Love thy neighbour" really IS the one commandment all others are based on, then why can't a responsible Christian have a free sex life as long as they follow it? Don't get me wrong, I hope to have a monogamous relationship in the future... I just want to LIVE first! |
