i gotta agree with Boy Cherisher a lot. spoiling your yf or any child is really just hurting them in the long run. that goes for anybody whether it's a parent or a pedophile. also kids need adults to be adults and not friends all the time since most have friends already anyway. it's good to be a fun adult and know how to be fun but you have to know when to be serious as well. it makes the kids feel safe and makes them respect and look up to someone.

another thing is you seem to be really emotionally unbalanced and if you truly want to be a good friend and mentor to that boy and others, then you should really do something about being more emotionally mature because a child really needs to rely on adults to be an emotional rock for them, especially a trusted one like you are.

finally kids are ungrateful, hell most adults are ungrateful...be understanding and TEACH your friend about reciprocity and appreciativeness.

acting like an adult with a boy doesnt take the fun or joy out of your relationship, if anything it makes it last longer and makes it more pleasant for all parties.
