World events making me a cheerful person (Ha ha)

Where is God to be found when two secular states are engaged in a holy war? Violence of a huge scale is about to be embarked upon and I can speak of it casually. I feel like the world suddenly got odder, then I realise it's been like this for a long time.

The main problems I'm having with dealing with the Iraqi situation is how to summarise my views on it to others. One thing I've noticed about political discussions in this age is that any viewpoint that takes more than five minutes to explain must not be important or popular. I don't consider myself pro or anti war, those are far too simplistic terms and their followers are jingoistic people who refuse to listen or really discuss such matters. All they want is their own viewpoint to win. At least, that's my experiance.

God may give the state the power of the sword, but didn't Jesus say "Blessed are the peacemakers"?

Short post (And probably pointless) but I hadn't posted in a while, it's almost midnight, and I just got DSL and I wanted to test its raw power in a message board environment :)
