Christian Boylove Forum

From the Webmaster: Is this still a support forum?

Hello to all,

Having spoken to several of our regulars, I feel that it is my responsibility to point out to our posters that it is incredibly difficult to fulfill our mission of support to the Christian Boylove community in the current posting atmosphere of hostility and aggression.

CBF has long been known for its quiet pace and relaxed atmosphere. So much so, that at times people have been bored and asked for more significant posting!

The last 6 months has seen important changes in our community. Many posters have taken a back seat, and new members were very interested in debating topics that were relevant to them. Vigorous debate and discussion has become mainstream in this forum.

I have to say that I am personally disappointed with the responses to Jim of the last few days. Where is our Christian Witness in this situation? Does God not demand of us to love our neighbor? How would Jesus dialogue and discuss with Jim? Are posters taking the time to consider how to be constructive rather than simply attack people?

CBF has a mission to be a welcoming place for Christians who are struggling with their sexuality. Who would feel welcome to post their first post during the flame wars of the past 72 hours? It takes more than one person to continue a flame war. We all bear responsibility in this matter.

If it is true, that CBF is no longer to be a support forum, but a board to debate issues and promote activism and evangelization, then we had better state that.

Peace of Christ,
Bach
