Dgennero - A couple of scriptures below speak to the danger of trying to interpret the bible in our own way: Galatians 1 6I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel-- 7which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! 9As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned! 2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. If you read a current version of the bible such as the NIV, you will find that the bible is rather clear about how we are to live our lives. If the bible really is God-breathed (2 Tim 3:16) then what gives us the right to interpret it according to human standards. you are not alone.
