I only wish his mom would come into his room and take away his computer, his "ideas" stand against everything WE know to be true. He thinks that if he shouts them loud and often enough, they will become fact. Sad part is, his thoughts make all of us look evil. We all know that his idea of "repecting boys" can only do them harm. And we live by the notion that it is against God's will to harm someone else. His "concepts" also make it easier for us to justify anything we might do. That's dangerous, especially for us. It's the equivelent of holding an AA meeting in a bar. But he is a child himself. We can all see that. I will write my reply to topics in his messages from the top down, so look for the corresponding parts. I'm addressing asb personally, and all others are welcome to comment. 1) So, you're playing a guessing game as to who & how old mvanhouton is. Would you care to play such a game with me as well? If I oppose your view points? I note that you didn't reply(that I can remember) to my posts on an earlier thread. You were too busy with MV to reply to my posts, I guess... I told you how I felt, but I wonder if you managed to read it... 2) You'll notice that he didn't say you were wrong, though you may have been... Somehow, I doubt that you are well qualified to judge what age a person is. It is rather offensive, that you apparently have a negative view of 18-23 year olds... But a certain amount of contempt for select age groups fits with your MO. 3) It is all too clear that you are simply attacking MV and his views here. Now, I admit that I have not read all his posts, and obviously you & others have more experience dealing with him than I... But, of the posts I have read, I can say this; MV seems markedly less hostile than you, and a few other posters here, and his views(though likely more extreme than mine) are mostly focused on accepting children as individuals, with rights, rather than just see them as property. Please forgive my run-on sentences. 4) "...his "ideas" stand against everything WE know to be true." I must quote this part... AGAIN, I ask you: Just Who The FUCK is WE? I will not be a party to the 'WE' that speaks poorly of certain age groups, and so forth... You don't seem to want MV to post his ideas here, or anywhere... You, asb, obviously have a low opinion of MV's views... But his views & ideas need to be discussed, and, to some degree, accepted... MV's thoughts & opinions do not make you look evil, yours do. Your views of differing opinions & those younger than yourself as sub-standard & immature, make you appear evil. 5) "We all know that his idea of "repecting boys" can only do them harm." Again, I must quote... Once again, I must ask who is WE?! Respecting a person does not do them harm! Refusing to respect them does! You did say 'his idea', and I will grant that 'his idea' of respect may not be proper, but I will NOT say for sure that it isn't, until I know exactly what 'his idea' is. -And YOU are not the person to tell me what 'his idea' is, only he can do that. 6) "And we live by the notion that it is against God's will to harm someone else." At last, a WE that I would be willing to be a part of. But, as I said above, I think your idea of what will and will not harm others is a bit clouded. I'd also like to note that I don't recall seeing any other posters directly supporting you. Some have opposed MV, but I don't remember one that actually DIRECTLY supported you in all your views. I would hope that this is because very few, if any people here share the majority of your views. 7) Yes, I will agree that it can be dangerous to lift oppressive barriers, for safety barriers may come with them. But, perhaps my views are unfair to some... The weak-willed fools, with virtually no self-control... The poor bastard who can't refuse temptation... But, are we really unable to stay away from temptation, or are we unwilling? 8) And if MV is, indeed, a child? What of it? It makes his opinion less important than yours? What about me? Am I a child as well? Does my opinion not count because I am younger than you? Why is it that you come off sounding like a self-righteous bastard? Perhaps it is good to have you around, you help make MV's views more appealing. 9) And finally, you end by shooting MV(and perhaps others(myself included)) the bird... Very MATURE of you... Hmmm... What does 'asb' stand for any way? (a)sshole-(s)on-of-a-(b)itch? I'm sorry, for that last shot.... And I'm also sorry for the fact that this post is crafted in the form of an attack... It is my hope that this will get attention, and from there, we can have a full exchange of views, and determine why we hold the views we do. I apologize in advance if I have been mislead by posts that were merely meant to piss-off MV... Perhaps, I hope, you will show me that you do not hold the views I believe you do... Sprite. |
